The European Journalism Center (EJC) announced this week that it has partnered with the Facebook Project for Journalists to launch a Facebook Security Guide for Journalists.
The decision comes after seeing how digital threats to journalists are greater, but most do not have any digital security training to protect against such attacks.
For this reason, the guide addresses topics such as privacy settings, two-step authentication and location sharing, as well as complaints of harassment and abusive comment management on profiles and pages.
It also includes short and animated videos that summarize the information and provide an overview of how to best manage within Facebook. Information will soon be available in several languages, including French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic.
